Course Design and Development
(6 credit hours)

This course builds on the foundations of needs, empowerment, success, self-esteem and quality. It considers the needs of adult learners through needs assessment and task analysis. This course focuses on the parts of a course outline, explains their requirements, models their construction and demonstrates the options. Students will develop outlines for their instructional area. Special attention will be paid to goals, objectives, personalizing instruction and developing mastery and competency. (Formerly part of Course Development and Evaluation)
Prerequisite: Advanced Instructional Methods.
