Scientific Cooperation to Grow Between Australia & China The Australian Government will increase funding for scientists undertaking collaborative research projects with China, in recognition of the growing significance of the bilateral relationship between the two countries. The Minister for Education, Science and Training, the Hon Julie Bishop MP, said the $1.5 million per annum increase will be part of the Australian Government’s 2006-07 Budget.
