2006 Round of Churchill Fellowships This year, 2005, is the 40th anniversary of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust. By the end of the 2006 round, over 3000 fellowships will have been awarded under the Churchill Fellows program. Online Scholars Community This is an interactive site that has a wealth of information on many subjects. It is an "easy to navigate" site that encourages diversity, independent, and open-minded thinking. I was especially interested in a section on multiple meanings in the English language. Several authors wrote articles on the subject of definitions. Reading their submissions was a thought provoking and and enlightenting experience. The articles emphasized the reason for the prevalence of mis-communication in our society, where so many words have multiple meanings.
