Kosovo Refugees Who Don't Want to Go Home Article from December 1999 issue of AusAID's Focus magazine warning of the threat of the approaching European winter for thousands of refugees in Macedonia who were victims of the war in the former Yugoslavia and who fled Kosovo and other parts of Southern Serbia. While the great majority of the refugees had moved back across the border into Kosovo, there were still around 4,500 refugees sheltering in two Macedonian camps operated by CARE Australia. Generation M: Media in the Lives of 8-18 Year-olds This Kaiser Family Foundation study examined media use among a nationally representative sample (USA) of more than 2,000 3rd through 12th graders who completed detailed questionnaires, including nearly 700 self-selected participants who also maintained seven-day media diaries during 2004. The report found that media plays a central role in the lives of Generation M and that they are multi-taskers.
