Re: Things You Really Need to Learn
Excellent post. A lot of great suggestions that can't be repeated enough. I love number one, predicting consequences...especially helpful in understanding that often the worst that can happen isn't that bad.
To answer your question at the end of paragraph 3, I'm not so sure that teaching these types of things would suit all learning situations. Maybe for basic forms of education. In my case, if I started overtly teaching some of these ideas to my students, many of them would think I was talking down to them or wonder why I wasn't teaching them language like I should be. Perhaps a better question would replace the word educators with parents and classes with children. Thanks. [Comment]
