Re: Power issues hit Africa e-learning project
Um... I can see why power's such a big issue - it's a huge demand on the infrastructure. When I was in PNG, the town that I lived in had some of the best power in the country - it worked most of the time; however, most places had outages on a regular basis - as, well, basically, there wasn't enough to go round.
I've read recently that power is going to be a very big issue in the UK in the next few years - and power cuts much more likely on a regular basis. Getting it to remote areas in Africa is a real challenge. [Comment]
