Hi Stephen - Thank you for the post; we here at Academic Earth are actually on the same page with you. We're looking forward to working with universities from all over the world - from top-ranked schools to community colleges - to get great video content to share, but it just so happened that these select universities have already made their videos available and open to the public, allowing us to share them on our site. We'll be adding additional content from universities in the US and abroad in the coming months.

But even with this initial selection of content, equity and democratization is exactly what we're striving for. Throughout most of history, only a privileged few have had access to the teachings of these leading professors; we're working to spread this learning opportunity to as many people as possible across the world.
