Dear Sir,
I don't know who you are and I have never read your blog, I followed a link here. I am a Priest in the church, and have been at many hospital beds over the years. And I would have to disagree. I know many who would like the freedom to pursue their healthcare privately. And I know many who de facto do by going into the states for many minor and major health care procedures. I suspect you are right in that most Canadians take pride in their universal heathcare and would not quickly trade it. But that percentage diminishes quickly when we enter the stage of life when you are forced to be dependent upon the state for health care on a regular basis. [Comment]
