Structure of the Human Body This site contains a varity of sections for study of human anatomy. There is LUMEN Dissector which follows a partial dissection of the human body divided into anatomical regions--back, upper extremity, head and neck, thorax, abdomen, pelvis/perineum, and lower extrmity. The labeled images are well done. There is also a master muscle list (already in MERLOT in a separate entry), cross sectional anatomy using Visible Human Project sections, a tutorial, practice exams, and flash cards. A Guided Tour of the Visible Human The Visible Human Project sometimes overwhelms new students with the amount of marterial available and how it is displayed. This site is an excellent introduction to what is available in the project with a large number of images. The explanation of planes of sectioning is excellent as are the wonderful animations that accompany each. The Interactive Annotations section has several sections that have annotations that are selected by clicking on the actual Visible Human images. Teaching Science in Australia : Results from the TIMSS 1999 Video Study The TIMSS-R Video Study is a cross-national study of Year 8 classroom mathematics and science teaching. The study involves videotaping and analysing teaching practices in more than one thousand classrooms in various countries.
